From the Living Word Series...

Fill Our Hearts, O Lord

“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16 (KJV)

The Word of Christ, logos is an intent utterance from the mouths of believers.

When we speak the Word, it seeps into our mind and spirit – reconfiguring our genetic disposition. It is then that the word takes up space in our hearts. As it is spoken from our lips we are rearranged from the inside out.

Christ dwelling within us divinely influences our hearts to be infused with joy and gratitude. This is when we become familiar with a higher plane of existence – one where the world could be shattering all around us, but peace keeps us still.

External circumstances do not have to dictate the quality of life for the believer. God’s love is richly present within us. And we can share that love when we utter Christ’s words of life to those who can benefit from a gentle reminder of grace that is liberally bestowed upon us all.

Reflection

Lord, we thank you for taking up residence in our hearts through Your Living Word. We welcome Your presence within us and pray for Your continued work through us.
